Our lab

Better understanding of how changes in the brain relate to behaviors and moods is urgently necessary to develop more targeted treatments for disorders such as depression. Our lab studies the neural basis of healthy and disordered reward processing.

We believe that "Behavior is Biology" - every action we take requires coordination of our complex set of biological resources, from the neurons in our motor cortex to the sarcomeres in our muscles. We take an integrative and interdisciplinary approach, combining the use of naturalistic real-world stimuli with neuroimaging, and using rigorous theoretical and computational models to link between brain and behavior.

Our long term goal is to identify more efficient and effective treatment options for psychiatric symptoms.

We are currently investigating how healthy people respond to rewards. If you are a healthy U.S. Veteran, you may be eligible to participate.
