Annie Darrow grew up in Baltimore when the Orioles won the World Series, and the Colts were still in town. She graduated from Stanford in ’87 with a degree in International Relations (US/Soviet foreign policy focus) and completed the Humanities Honors program. Following the Loma Prieta earthquake in ’89, Annie returned to campus to begin a career at the Stanford Alumni Association in the Travel/Study department. After rising to Deputy Director and leading over 20 trips to every corner of the world, Annie had to put her passport away for 22 years while raising two special needs sons. Autism and mental health advocacy became her number one priority. She returned to Baltimore for better schools and residential programs for her youngest son. With an empty nest and a renewed passport, Annie rejoined the team as a freelance tour manager and has recently led Stanford travelers to Europe, the Galapagos, Tanzania, and Turkey.
