Since awarding the first scholarship for $500, the program has made awards every year, now in 2024, totaling 160 scholarships ($180,500) Scholarship History. Scholarship applications are disseminated to the public and charter students through the county public school systems. The competing students submit proof of their Scottish heritage or activities, carry an unweighted minimum GPA of 3.5, and provide an essay.

We sponsor a scholarship program for qualified high school seniors in Sarasota and Manatee Counties and Lemon Bay High School.
The St. Andrew Scottish Society Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a 501 C 3 charitable organization.
