Lessons in digital citizenship must begin early on in a child's education for it to become the norm when understanding how to interact with the internet safely and responsibly. Earners of the Digital Citizenship (K-8) badge will be able to show they have successfully taught digital citizenship in several categories and how these lessons will continue to be taught and monitored within your educational setting.

We all want our secondary students to be standup, digital citizens when utilizing the internet, right? In order for this to occur, students need to be taught about cyberbullying, online safety, and successfully creating a positive digital footprint. Earners of the Digital Citizenship (7-12) badge will be able to provide evidence of district provided slide decks or other digital tools that prove that students are being instructed in the ways of being a good digital citizen.
