Integrating technology into a learning space is a form of social activism.
As artisans, we craft learning spaces where curiosity, knowledge, pedagogy and technology merge; and alchemy occurs. Instantaneously, like magic minds become engaged, future pathways are imagined and neural odysseys begin.
Our students deserve opportunities to dream the unimaginable. Make no mistake digital know how will be part of this dreams. Kids in our urban schools are entitled to be in classrooms that make 21century skills second nature. Anything less stretches the digital divide and further limits their access to the global information economy.
My activism is working to overcome the digital divide by removing real and perceived technological barriers. Creating a space where a child or a teacher doesn't stop to think about how to use technology, because it is part of the intersection between content, instruction and learning. Will you join me?
