Legislation and Regulatory Requirements

We have a range of legisalation and regulatory requirements in a teaching and learning environmnet. It is important to remember that each one is designed to address a specific issue in relation to the protection of our learners and staff. Legisaltion and regulatory code whilst on the face of things may make our lives more difficult but without it we would be relying purely on the integrity of teaching and learning staff.

Legislation not only helps to keep our learners safe but is there to assist us in following the correct procedures should we ever need to. It outlines who and which organisations should be involved if a referral needs to be made, and ensures that eduactional establishments develop their own policies and procedures, employ the right specialists and provide the right training for people.
