First Saturday Devotions & Eucharistic Adoration

To help aid our parishioners practice this praise worthy devotions, St. Albert the Great Catholic Church offers us the opportunity to pray the Rosary before the 8:30a.m. Saturday Mass. After Mass, there will be an opportunity to confess our sins in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Additionally, on First Saturdays of each month, Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament will occur following the 8:30 AM Mass until all confessions are heard. Come spend time in quiet prayer and reflection in the presence of Our Lord. All are welcome!

The First Saturday Devotion includes Confession, Holy Communion, the Rosary, and 15 minutes of meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary. These practices are not only prayers for the healing of the world—they can also heal and transform us, drawing us closer to Christ through the example of Mary.

Adult Choir New Season

“The choir enhances the beauty of the liturgy by contributing a musical dimension to the celebration that the congregation alone cannot achieve” (Sing to the Lord: Music in Catholic Worship, USCCB).

The new choir season is about to begin! Rehearsals are held every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the church beginning September 9th. The choir sings for most Sunday 10:30 a.m. Masses. Mass of Remembrance

The Archdiocese of Louisville will celebrate a special Mass of Remembrance for those who have lost a loved one to suicide on Wednesday, September 9, at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Bernard Parish, 7500 Tangelo Drive. Archbishop Shelton Fabre will be the principal celebrant, with Father Kirby Rust as homilist. All are welcome to attend this special Mass of prayer and remembrance.

Blue Mass

All are invited to join Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre for a Blue Mass honoring the dedication and sacrifice of active, retired, and deceased Central Kentucky first responders. The Mass will be held Thursday, September 10, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Let us come together to pray for life, charity, justice, and peace, and to recognize those who serve and protect our communities.

St. Albert Book Club

The next meeting of the St. Albert Book Club book will be on Thursday, September 24th at 10:00a.m. in the Sacred Heart Center. We will be reading Inside Islam: A Guide for Catholics: 100 Questions and Answers by Daniel Ali and Robert Spencer. There is no cost to join and no registration is required. Just read the book and show up!

Louisville Catholic Youth Conference (LCYC)

Registration is NOW Open for LCYC- February 26, 27 and 28, 2027.  This exciting 3-day conference for high schoolers will lead teens into a deeper encounter with Jesus, who knows them, loves them, and calls them to follow Him wholeheartedly. Through engaging talks, dynamic worship, Eucharistic adoration, and an authentic experience of community, participants will be invited to root themselves in their identity as beloved children of God, let go of what holds them back, and say ‘yes’ to the adventure of following Jesus Christ.All information will be updated as plans are being made.  Be sure to check out the LCYC WEBPAGE.

Understanding and Caring for Those with Dementia

Do you have a loved one living with dementia or want to learn how to better support those experiencing memory loss? Join us on Tuesday, September 1, from 6:30–8:30p.m. for an educational workshop led by Dr. Rachel Hart and Stephanie Freeman of the Norton Neuroscience Institute Memory Center. Learn about the different types of dementia, why communication and behavior change, and practical tips for creating meaningful connections with those living with dementia. Whether you are a caregiver, family member, or simply interested in learning more, all are welcome. This event is free; registration is encouraged so we can plan accordingly. Markey's Group

The next gathering of Markey’s Group will take place on Tuesday, September 15th, 5:00p.m. at Silvio's Italian Restaurant, 104 Fairfax Avenue. (across from Trinity H.S.) At St. Albert, we believe the best way to get to know our school is to experience it firsthand. Rather than hosting large open house events, we offer small-group tours so that families can truly see what a typical day at St. Albert looks and feels like. School tours are offered from September 2026 through April 2027, and we are currently scheduling tours for families interested in applying for the 2027–2028 school year.

Already toured and ready to apply?

Families new to the school may apply for enrollment between September 15 and October 31, 2026. Applications must be submitted electronically through FACTS Management using the Apply Now link on our website, beginning September 15.

Applications are not time-stamped when they are submitted, so there is no advantage to submitting your application on a particular day. You may apply anytime between September 15 and October 31. All supporting documents must be submitted no later than October 31, 2026, for your application to be considered complete and ready for review during the application period.

After November 1, 2026, applications will be ranked according to the order of priority list outlined in the admissions document and on our school website.
