Welcome to Stage Sound Services' Work Experience Program

At Stage Sound Services, we want to pull back the curtain and show you some the unsung heroes of every great night out, the hidden champions behind sensational West End performances and the dedicated minds who make global tours tick. 

We have a long history of providing quality work experience opportunities, which is why we are genuinely excited to offer school and college-age learners, just like you, a backstage pass to one of the least known parts of the theatre and events industry.

What can you Expect?

Your Role in the Warehouse:

In our warehouse, you won't be just another set of hands; 

you'll become a part of the team that powers the magic seen around the world. We're the ones who supply some of the biggest shows in the West End, across the UK and even on global tours. Here, you could find yourself shoulder to shoulder with cutting-edge sound, lighting and staging equipment that has graced the grandest stages worldwide.

Skills and Learning:

During your time in our warehouse, you'll have the 

opportunity to develop valuable skills that will serve you well, not just in the world of work but also in your studies. These include:

Preparing Equipment for Hire:

Picture this: you're prepping speakers, projectors, lights, 

lighting fixtures, sound desks that have worked their magic on history-making performances and much more. It's unglamorous yet vital and with your meticulous attention to detail, ensures that every piece of equipment meets the sky-high standards required for these unforgettable productions.

Talent and Contribution:

We collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry

because we have some of the best professionals on our team. But don't think of us as an elite club. We firmly believe that every individual possesses inherent talents and abilities that can be harnessed to make valuable contributions.

At Stage Sound Services, we place immense value on your unique skills and passion for the unsung but vital aspects of technical theatre. We're genuinely excited to be your guide as you explore your potential and step into the exciting, but challenging world of live events and theatre production.

Returning Equipment:

In this role, you'll work with equipment that may have traveled

globally or been part of a West End production. This hands-on experience involves ensuring this essential kit is ready for upcoming performances, including checking everything has been returned, disconnecting items set up for specific shows and ensuring everything is in working order. If you spot any damage or maintenance needs, you'll liaise with our workshop team. 

As part of our work experience program, you'll delve into the behind-the-scenes world of live entertainment, where these equipment pieces have played pivotal roles, from global tours to West End classics. Your responsibilities encompass inspecting, testing and troubleshooting equipment, spanning from amplifiers to projectors.

Your safety and wellbeing take top priority. Our experienced 

team will provide guidance, supervision and unwavering support throughout your journey with us. 

As you dive into this experience within our warehouse, remember that you're not merely handling equipment; you're playing a pivotal role in crafting the legacy of world-renowned productions. Your role might not always be in the spotlight, but it's at the core of the action that unfolds on stage.
