On the 20th of May the girls camogie team from 5th and 6th class went to Kilcock GAA to play a camogie blitz. We played three school teams; St Joseph's, Scoil Uí Riada and Johnstown Bridge. Our first match was against St Joseph's and it was a pretty easy game. We won 7-2 to 0-0.
Our next game was against Scoil Uí Riada and it was a closer game. We got two goals in the first half and a point in the second half. We won 2-1 to 0-0.
Our final game was against a school in Johnstown Bridge. They lost their first match against Scoil Uí Riada and had bet St Joseph's. It was the closest game. It was 3 points to nothing.
No team scored against us and we get to go to a county final in Newbridge or Moorefield. We couldn't have done it without the girls from Newtown and our coach Mr Ryan.

We used to train every Thursday during lunch with Mr Ryan. It was very good. Sadly due to a entrance exam I couldn't play the blitz but I was able to play the final. Mr Ryan is a great coach and we wouldn't have played as well without him.

We got into the final and thankfully I could play. Our final was in Cappagh against Scoil Uí Riada. We had great players and very good support from our school, friends, teachers and family. Thanks to Mr Ryan we won the final with a score of 3-1 to 2-0.It wasn't the best weather but it was still a very good and tough match but we pulled through. We were tied in the first half of 1-0 all. We found out the final was going to be in Cappagh. The match started at around 11:30. In the first half it was very close. 1-0 to 1-0. In the second half we got a goal and straight after they got a goal. Then in the last five minutes i got a goal and a point. We had won 3-1 to 2-0. It was a very close and everyone from sixth and fifth in Newtown and Tiermohan came to support. Our captains were Sienna and Breffní.
