This is where you can write of the earliest memories you have of Primary School.
Who do you remember from your first day in school?
Who did you sit beside?
Who was your teacher?
Where was the classroom?
What games did you play on this first day?
Any other memories of your early days in school?
My name is Emma Kennedy. I am 13 years old. I am in 6th class and I am getting ready to leave Tiermohan. I started school in 2012. My first teacher was Ms. Dougan. She was such a nice teacher. Our classroom is where the computer room is now. I remember my first day in Tiermohan so well. I knew some of my class already as we had gone to Allanah Playschool together. I was so excited to start BIG School. That morning, my Nanny came down to see me before I went. I had my bag packed and uniform ready for off. When I got to the school there were loads of kids there. We met Ms. Dougan and I liked her so much straight away. She made learning so much fun. The other girls in my class were, Meabh, Gemma, Aoife and Rebecca. We had great fun together.
My name is Billy, I am 12 years old and I remember my first day of school like it was yesterday. Our teacher was the nicest teacher I have ever had. Sorry Ms Curly, Mr Ryan and everyone else. We have lost a few along the way, seven in fact, but the best stayed for the entire journey, all ten.
At the end of our first year of school there was a raffle for our class teddy, named Bouncer and I got him. Even today all these years later I still have him in my room. There are pictures of him on this website and on the front of the debate team page. He means even more to me because my best friend named him.
My first day at school,
I walked into school with my cousin Ryan and Emma who had gone to playschool with me
My Teacher was Ms Dougan. I knew her as she played camogie with my mam and had also trained me in camogie

On my first day at school I was shy and nervous.
I was happy to make new friends too.

I met Simon on my first day of school. It was all very strange and new and I was excited to meet new friends. Simon was the first new friend I made in Junior Infants. I met lots of new people on my first day of school and it was great fun.
Simon was feeling a bit sad on his first day so I wanted to make him feel better and said we could be friends and play together.
