Debate Team

There were 3 members on the Debate team Emma, Méabh and Billy. We took part in two Debates.

The first one was in Kilshanroe NS. The topic was "Should primary school children have homework"?

The second debate was against Ballymore Eustace and the motion was "Should primary school children have a mobile phone?" That debate was held in Naas library.

We really enjoyed the debates and it gave us a lot of confidence in speaking in public.

The sweets and drinks that Mr. Sweeney bought us on the way home were really nice too:)

My name is Billy and I was a part of the debate team. I had a brilliant experience and it made me more able to talk in front of people, because I discussed a topic in front of a group of strangers and had great fun at the same time. I wasn't sure of it at first but I loved it, the food after didn't hurt either though!
