Can my child take medications while they are at school?

Yes, your child can take medications while at school if necessary. However, an MAR form (found on this page) will need to be completed to do so. The form needs filled out in its entirety, and will need signed by the child's healthcare provider, and a legal guardian.

Can my child take both prescription and over the counter medications at school?

Yes, either type of medication can be given with a fully filled out MAR. Please only send in medications that you think your child will really need during the school day.

can i send the medications to school with my child, and can you send them home with my child at the end of the year?

No, medications cannot be sent to or from the school with a student. They should be brought in by a parent or guardian and checked in by office or clinic staff. At the end of the year, you will need to stop in to the school to pick them up during the last days of school.
