Where Everybody Belongs is an integrative program focused on welcoming the 6th grade class and provides continual support for students in their transitional year to middle school. Under the guidance of teachers, the WEB transitional program trains members of the 8th grade class who are recognized as positive role models in both responsibility and leadership, to serve as mentors.
Throughout the year, WEB leaders and their mentees take part in variety social activities including teaching classes and holding one-on-one meetings with students to not only discuss academics but also help cultivate relationships on campus. Transitioning to middle school is a major event in a young person’s life, WEB helps foster a welcoming environment by implementing strategies to make this change a safe and positive experience.
Leadership Camp is a three-day experience designed for students to develop their leadership skills. The program consists of a series of workshops that focuses on increasing participant’s critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills. Additionally, students are provided with the opportunity to make new friends and discover new interests through concepts such as teamwork, empathy, and diversity.
