Demonstrating Competency: Passing score (684) on Algebra 1 and English 10 EOC test. After a minimum of one retake, if a passing score is not achieved, students have three pathways they can take to show competency:
Demonstrate two Career-Focused Activities (one must be Foundational)
a. Foundational: Proficient on WebXams
b. 12-point industry credential
c. Complete a pre-apprenticeship program approved by OSCA
d. Obtain state-issued license for job that requires examination
e. Supporting: 250-hour work-based learning with positive remarks
f. Readiness score on WorkKeys
g. Ohio Means Jobs Seal
Enlist in Military
Complete College Coursework (Math and/or English)
Demonstrating Readiness—Diploma Seals: Each student must earn two diploma seals. At least one of those has to be a state-defined seal. (Further explanations of seals are provided in the link below.)
