The 21st Century Scholarship is scholarship program through the state of Indiana that provides eligible students with a scholarship that covers full tuition for up to four years at any Indiana public college and the equivalent amount at any Indiana private college. Students are automatically enrolled in the program in 7th or 8th grade based on their family's income and receive the scholarship upon successful completion of the requirements and graduation from high school.
High School Requirements:
Perform Academically - graduate with a minimum GPA of 2.5
Complete the Scholar Success Program and do not violate the Scholar Pledge - The Scholar Success Program consists of twelve tasks (three per school year) that help students prepare for college. The tasks are completed through the ScholarTrack website.
Earn your high school diploma:
Core 40
Core 40 with Academic Honors
Core 40 with Technical Honors Diploma
New Indiana Diploma
New Indiana Diploma with any honors or honors plus seal
Maintain income eligibility (checked again when FAFSA is filed during senior year.)

Meet United States citizenship requirement:
U.S. citizen or U.S. national (includes natives of American Samoa or Swain’s Island)
U.S. permanent resident who has an I-151, I-551 or I-551C (Alien Registration Receipt Card)
Non-U.S. citizen with an Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) from the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) showing one of the following designations:
Refugee
Asylum Granted
Indefinite Parole and/or Humanitarian Parole
Cuban-Haitian Entrant, Status Pending

Complete all Scholar Success Program tasks for grades 9-11 by the end of the year. The three tasks for junior year are: Visit a College Campus, Take a College Entrance Exam (ACT or SAT), and Search for Scholarships

Complete all Scholar Success Program tasks for grades 9-10 by the end of the year. The three tasks for sophomore year are: Take a Career Interests Assessment, Get Workplace Experience, and Estimate the Costs of College
Maintain a GPA at or above 2.5
The Career Interest Profiler on Naviance will fulfill the Career Interests Assessment requirement
Workplace experience can be gained by working an after school job, job shadowing, attending the LT Career Fair, or doing an informational interview with a professional

10th Grade Scholar Success Guide
21st Century Scholar Checklist for Freshman Year
Create your ScholarTrack Account
Go to scholartrack.in.gov and click “Register for an Account”
Select “Student”
Under Type of Account, select “I have my Indiana Student Test Number (STN) and would like to create a Full Student Account” OR “I have my Social Security Number (SSN) and would like to create a Full Student Account”
You can get your Social Security Number from your parent/guardian (if applicable) OR you can get your Student Test Number from Skyward or from your school counselor
Use a personal email address
Complete all Scholar Success Program tasks for grade 9 by the end of the year. The three tasks for freshman year are: Create a Graduation Plan, Participate in an Extracurricular or Service Activity, Watch “Paying for College 101”
Maintain a GPA at or above 2.5
