MRS. RUTAN:

I have two sons, 20 and 23. One is a junior at UT Dallas and the other is a recent graduate of Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University who Is working like a grownup.
I have been married to Jeff, my college sweetheart, for 28 years.
I have taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades and was an ESL teacher for 7 years before I became a librarian IN 2014. I have been an educator for 33 years.
I went to college at TCU in Ft. Worth- GO FROGS!
I have too many favorite books to name them all, but I will give you a few...

Anne of Green Gables series, Little House on the Prairie series, Wizard of Oz series, Harry Potter series, Divergent trilogy, Splat the Cat books and anything by Mo Willems.

I am thrilled to be YOUR librarian at Prairie Trail Elementary! This is my dream job and I love doing it every day. I work hard with administration and teachers to create and maintain library programming that will most benefit our students. I focus on encouraging reading and being the "keeper of literacy" for our campus. I love new challenges and am happy to help in any way I can.

This calendar will show any upcoming special events upcoming in the library, as well as all the times that the library is booked by a class.
