MeeT Mrs. Mills

It is exciting to be in my 34th year in education, at McKamy Middle School! I grew up in the DFW metroplex and have been in the Flower Mound area for over twenty-seven years. My husband works in IT for an amazing on-line educational company based out of Minnesota. Together we have three sons, a 25 year old Land Acquisition Specialist in DFW, a 27 year old working in Tech Support for a great company, and a 30 year old son working in the service industry In Highland Park. Last year our oldest married and we gained an amazing daughter in law. They gifted our family with our first grandchild. We are lucky to live close enough to see him every week.(We have one very spoiled cat named Molly. She is not a fan of the grandson yet.)  Love traveling, gardening, spending time with friends and family. Family game nights are my favorite though. With three grown boys we can always count on competitiveness, lots of laughs and great memories to be made!

I began teaching in 1992 and worked within LISD for past thirty years at the elementary level and 3 years at the middle school level. I enjoy working with the terrific students, parents, staff and administrators at McKamy to help everyone have the best school year possible. Middle school is a time of transition and growth for all students. No matter what may come their way, I am here to listen and support them to be their best self! The 24-25 school year is going to be wonderful. Will treasure every smile, hug, and high-five for sure! As always, count me in. . . I am here for you!
