At McKamy, our role is to work with the education team to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of all students. We know middle school can be a challenging time. We want to provide our students with the support they need to succeed and thrive.

Mission
Through partnerships with students, staff, and community, counselors will foster development of self-advocacy skills, personal-social-emotional wellness, and academic-career success in a compassionate and supportive environment.
Goals
Provide all students with safe, nurturing, inclusive, and flexible learning environments. (LISD G1)
Utilize data to develop, implement, and assess comprehensive guidance and counseling programs. (LISD G6)
Guide all students as they plan, monitor, and manage their own educational, career, and personal-social-emotional development. (LISD G3)
