Why should you participate? This is an incredible opportunity to see the business world first-hand! Make great contacts, ask questions to local leaders in their industry, and see behind-the-scenes into careers that you otherwise do not have access to.
How do I sign up? Student registration for SENIORS begins Wednesday, January 24th at 7:00 AM. Student registration for JUNIORS begins Thursday, January 25th at 7:00 AM. The links above will show you all of the available opportunities. Spaces are limited for each opportunity! DO NOT SIGN UP BEFORE YOUR DESIGNATED DAY and be sure to ONLY SIGN UP ONCE!
How do I know if I got a spot? You will see a confirmation pop up on your screen after your registration goes through. Be sure to read that pop up.
What if the link won't take my response? Registration is first come, first served. If a link will no longer work, it means the spots for that particular location have been filled. Please try to register for your second choice. Remember, only sign up one time!
What happens after I sign up? Immediately after signing up, you will see a confirmation from Survey Monkey that you got a spot. Do not sign up for another spot. You will receive a final confirmation via your LISD email from Partnerships@lisd.net the week of February 5th with details about training sessions. Each campus will confirm that students are eligible to participate based on attendance and discipline. Be sure to check that email regularly between signing up and the shadowing experience. E-mails will come from partnerships@lisd.net.
Can parents sign their student up? No. This opportunity is for students and we encourage students to take the initiative to find an opportunity that interests them and sign themselves up. When parents sign their student up, there is typically a lot of confusion. Parents - please encourage your student to look at all opportunities and sign up for what interests him/her the most.
