All About Mrs. Oelkers
Hi, I’m Amanda Oelkers I have been in education for 10 years (teaching Kindergarten, 4th, and GT) in Lewisville ISD. I have a Bachelor and Master's Degree from University of North Texas—Go Eagles! I believe that allowing students time for enrichment will help grow their minds as well as their confidence. This teaching role is incredibly enjoyable because I get to witness students becoming experts on topics while watching them get a better understanding of themselves as learners.

Now to my family! They are my everything. My husband is the most wonderful man I know and we have known each other since we were 14 years old. We have two children, Erik and Andrew, and they make us laugh all the time because they are so silly. We have 2 dogs, Lisa and Irie- they are dachshunds. We are huge Star Wars fans! In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, doing yoga, and reading.
