Course overview: Students work in pairs to produce broadcast news, feature, sports and entertainment that are combined into a bi-weekly episode of Hawk TV. Students learn how to develop story ideas, conduct interviews, shoot quality footage and edit video. Students also get the opportunity to practice their on-camera presence, if desired, by anchoring episodes. In addition to the regularly occurring broadcast journalistic pieces that air on Hawk TV, students are also provided some additional creative flexibility by producing video for social media accounts.
