Mission Statement

The Science Competitions club strives to foster scientific exploration and passion in the Harker student body and to prepare students for major science competitions, including F=ma, USABO, Chemistry Olympiad, etc. STEM is a major facet to Harker; however, nearly all STEM clubs are research-based. Our club is unique in that we seek a more theoretical standpoint, finding joy and interest in scientific knowledge itself. We hope to create an open space in the community where students can come together to engage in contest preparation, learn from each other, and perform the best they can on these contests. In addition, we aim to provide students who are interested in STEM but are unfamiliar with science at Harker a gateway to the science community and to these science competitions.
