Journalism

Details: Students will create their own magazine or newspaper throughout the day; including designing a front cover, conduct interviews, write articles and taking photographs. 

Comic Creations

Who for: Years 8 & 9

Price: FREE

Details: Come and learn how to draw and design comic books like the pros! We will be looking at character design, layout and drawing styles.

Warhammer

Who for: Years 8 & 9

Price: FREE

Details: Learn the basics of painting in small scale; base painting, priming, layering and detailing. Then try your figures in a game.

Multi Sports 

Who for: Years 8 & 9

Price: FREE

Details:  2 hours of Independent sports and 1 hour of Sports analysis followed by 2 hours of teams sports.

Details: Learn the basics of how to follow a chart and stitch a basic design.

SPanish Day

Who for: Years 8 & 9

Price: FREE

Details: Cook Spanish tapas and enjoy playing Spanish games. Watch a Spanish movie while enjoying your delicious tapas.

Lego Land

Who for: Years 8 & 9

Details: Enjoy the theme park at Lego Land and take part in a hands on Lego workshop.

NatuRal History museum & Workshop

Who for: Years 8 & 9

Price: £14

Details: Take part in a 1hour 45 min workshop 'Mission to Mars: Lego Explorers. Students will work in small teams to design and build a LEGO Martian rover. They then code, test and evaluate their designs.before seeing how their rovers perform on a realistic Martian surface. Followed by a self-guided tour of the Natural History Musuem. 

Hove lagoon

Who for: Years 8 & 9

Price: £60

Details: 4 Hours of watersports; Sailing, Sup, Kayak & Windsurfing 

HARRY potter studios

Who for: Years 8 & 9

Price: £42

Details: Take a 45 min lesson about making a movie and undergo a 3 hour self-guided tour of the studios.

Residentials 

We are hoping to offer 2 residential trips during Enrichment Week. If your child would like to attend one, can this please fill in the Enrichment Week choices as if they are NOT going.

At the end of the Form, there is a place to register interest in 1 of the residential trips. Please tick this is you are wanting them to attend 1. 

Please note that both trips start run from the Tuesday to the Friday.

Berlin Residential 

Who for: Years 8 & 9 (& 10)

When: 3 nights/4 days; Tuesday to Friday

Price: £700 (approx)

Details: Trip to Berlin to improve cultural knowledge and language skills, see various historical sites such as the Olympiastadion, Checkpoint Charlie etc.

Barcelona Residential 

Who for: Years 8 & 9 (& 10)

When: 3 nights/4 days; Tuesday to Friday

Price: £700 (approx)

Details: The trip is intended to enrich the study of Spanish, where students will be able to practice their language skills and improve their cultural and linguistic knowledge. Whilst in Barcelona, students will have the chance to visit the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas, a chocolate museum, New Barca museum and much more.
