Listen to the hymn 'This Little Light of Mine' and try to learn the chorus.
Epiphany is celebrated 12 days after Christmas on 6th January (or January 19th for some Orthodox Church who have Christmas on 7th January) and is the time when Christians remember the Wise Men (also sometimes called the Three Kings) who visited Jesus.
Epiphany is also when some Churches remember when Jesus was Baptised, when he was about 30, and started to teach people about God. Epiphany means 'revelation' and both the visit of the Wise Men and his Baptism are important times when Jesus was 'revealed' to be very important.
Some Churches celebrate use Epiphany to celebrate and remember both the visit of the Wise Men and Jesus's Baptism!
Due to the current situation, reports will be sent home in January once we have returned to school.
As you are aware RW is closed due to a positive case of Covid being reported. Please follow the online learning for this week. A zoom meeting will be arranged for today and you will be sent the details via email. Your child will need to return to school on Monday 4th January .
On Friday 11th December the children are to come to school wearing a either a Christmas jumper, Christmas outfit or Christmas coloured clothes. They will have a special Christmas lunch and a class Christmas Party.
Due to the current restrictions we are not allowed to accept food from parents/carers, therefore we would like to ask for a £1 donation towards supplying the food for the children's party. Thank you for your understanding.
The children in Reception enjoy writing letters, painting, drawing and making pictures. We understand that all these wonderful pieces of work can be a lot for the children and yourselves to carry at the end of each day. Unfortunately we are unable to allow the children to bring bags to school. The children will now keep their work at school and bring it all home on Friday's. Parents could you please bring a bag with you when you collect your child on Friday for the children to put their work in.
This week we have been reading 'Here we are' by Oliver Jeffers. The children have really enjoyed this book and particularly liked looking at Google Earth. The videos and links that we have used through week are below. Please take a look at these with your child at home.
