St Stephen's enters first ever basketball competition - report by Mr Cain

Children from St Stephen's entered their first ever basketball competition last week and, despite being very nervous at the start, they soon got in the swing of things. Indeed, they only narrowly lost their first game by a basket at 12-14. However, from that moment on we were relentless, winning 18-2, 14-6 and 12-8, even beating last year's winners in our final match. We wait patiently to see if we progress. Well done Ruzgar, Eliza, Eli, Seb, Alana, Ali, Freddie, Raff, Oli, Sassy, Alexander and Aydin. Special mention to Ali, Aydin, Seb, Raff, Oli and Alana who were recognised as star players by the competition organisers.

It's Christmas jumper day for our Year Three staff

Who doesn't love a Christmas jumper? Our Year Three staff team certainly does. So much, in fact, they decided they would all don matching sweaters. They made us smile. I hope they bring some Christmas cheer to you too.

Thankfulness baubles

Our children have been decorating some lovely wooden baubles with thankfulness messages during our new Creative Reflection Club with Lauren, the children's pastor from St Stephen's Church and Tanya Blomley, our RE Curriculum Lead. Thank you to St Stephen's Church for donating the wooden bauble templates. This lovely club is set to continue in the New Year. Children will try out different crafts and all year groups will get a turn.

Our Year One children have been learning some festive tunes in their Musicmakers sessions with Charisse from the Richmond Music Trust

Pankhurst's puppeteers put on a show

Last week we showed you the young crafters sewing. This week we bring you the final, fabulous finished puppets. Well done Pankhurst, you really know how to put on a puppet show.
