Our Year Four shipmates took to the river at Thames Young Mariners this week for a water-based school journey. The children are currently studying rivers, so this was a fitting venue. Overnight accomodation in tepees made for a different style slumber, and the young mariners enjoyed a campside singsong before donning life jackets and taking up their oars for a spot of kayaking and paddle boarding. It was quite an awesome (or should that be 'oarsome sight') to see a whole year group on the water. We would like to send special thanks to the fabulous team who accompanied the children and looked after them so beautifully - Miss Mowbray, Miss Portillo, Miss Ferguson, Miss Douglas, Miss Cooper and Mrs Harrison. Back at base, we would also like to thank Mrs Curran who organises all our trips and school journeys.
