National Dodgeball Finals: 4th in the Country!
What an absolutely sensational end to the season for our incredible dodgeball team! After months of intense hard work - both in their regular club sessions and extra training outside of school - the team traveled to the British Dodgeball National Finals, and their performances on the court were simply out of this world.
Facing the absolute best teams in the country, our players showed exceptional teamwork, determination, and skill. They stormed through the group stages with brilliant wins against Holt (9-1), Clifton (6-4), St Stephen's (9-1), and St White's (6-4).
They kept their composure in a tense, hard-fought Quarter Final to beat St Michael's 7-5, before bowing out in the Semis to a tough Lawford Mead side.
To finish 4th in the entire country is an astounding achievement, and we could not be prouder of them. They exceeded every expectation and proved just how special this group of athletes is.
A massive congratulations to Niamh, Alana, Sassy, Spencer, Jakey, Ruzgar, Remy, and Ben. Your development this year has been incredible, and your progress has been a joy to watch.

Following on from our incredible national dodgeball success, we have some absolutely monumental news to share with our school community! Our games teacher, Danny Cain, has officially been named the British Dodgeball Coach of the Year!
This is a massive national honour. The award was presented by James Robinson, the National Schools Development Officer for British Dodgeball, who shared just how unique this win is for Danny and our school:
"We don't usually present this award at our school finals as the winners have previously been part of our community dodgeball scene, but this person has achieved in several areas of our sport this year. From reaching today's national finals to placing as runners-up in our girls' primary finals... they have achieved an outstanding amount of success."
To be recognised across the entire country is a testament to Danny’s tireless work ethic, his passion for the sport, and the amazing way he inspires our children to give their absolute best.

While this specific award recognises his brilliant work in dodgeball, it reflects a much bigger picture. Danny is the driving force behind the fantastic sporting culture we enjoy at St Stephen's. Whether he is organising our thrilling Sports Days, running extra-curricular clubs, or coaching children of all skill levels on the playground, Danny has a unique gift for boosting the profile of school sports. He champions inclusivity, instils confidence in every child he teaches, and represents our school with immense pride and professionalism wherever he goes.
Danny, we are all so incredibly proud of you. Watching you lead our teams to the National Finals this year has been a joy, but seeing your dedication recognised on a national stage is truly special. You don't just coach games; you inspire a genuine love for staying active and working as a team. You have modelled a fantastic path for our young athletes to follow. Thoroughly deserved, Coach!

Active Girls Basketball Festival
Active Girls Basketball Festival
On Wednesday, our girls travelled to St James Primary School to take part in the Active Girls Basketball Festival, an exciting event led by the Richmond Knights basketball club.
The festival provided a fantastic opportunity for our girls to showcase the brilliant skills they have developed through both our school basketball clubs and their PE lessons. Throughout the day, they competed against other local schools and took part in a variety of fast-paced, skills-based drills led by the professional Richmond Knights coaches.
The girls represented St Stephen's brilliantly, demonstrating great teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm from start to finish. Most importantly, they had an absolute blast - seeing so many huge, smiling faces at the end of the festival made us incredibly proud.
A huge well done to everyone who took part! Your hard work and sportsmanship shone through.
