We would like to remind all parents and carers to regularly review our Food in School Policy, which can be found on the school website here.
To keep all of our pupils safe, please ensure that no nuts or sesame products are brought into school at any time, whether for packed lunches or breaktime snacks.
While many families are aware of standard sesame products like humous or bread with sesame seeds, please be extra vigilant with hidden ingredients.
In particular, ready-made sushi (which frequently contains sesame oil, sesame seeds, or tahini) is increasingly being brought in for packed lunches. Please check the packaging of all pre-prepared foods carefully before sending them into school.
Thank you so much for your continued cooperation and support in keeping all of our children safe.
With the warm weather set to continue, our school hot weather measures will remain in place until the very end of term. To ensure the children stay as cool, comfortable, and safe as possible, we ask parents and carers to prepare their children for school each day by noting the following guidance:
Children may wear either their school summer uniform (no tie required) or their school PE t-shirt and shorts—whichever they find more comfortable.
Please do not send your child to school with a jumper or fleece.
Please send your child to school with a clearly named water bottle. Ideally, these can be chilled in the fridge overnight or filled with ice in the morning. Children will have plenty of opportunities to refill their bottles throughout the day.
Please talk to your child at home about the importance of drinking more water than usual. Our staff will also be giving regular reminders in class.
Please apply high-factor suncream to your child before they come to school in the morning.
Children may bring a handheld fan to use during the day, at your discretion.
Please Note: Handheld fans must be used responsibly. If they cause a distraction to learning in the classroom, teachers may need to safely look after them until the end of the school day.
Thank you for your continued cooperation in keeping our pupils safe and comfortable during the final week of term!
If your child no longer wants milk at school, please ensure you cancel your subscription to Cool Milk as we have a huge amount of weekly waste from unclaimed milk.
We are moving our sports kit provision to Dolphin House who is our current uniform provider, their shop is based in East Twickenham.
