We are pleased to share a series of upcoming workshops designed to support families navigating the Special Educational Needs (SEN) process. These sessions provide practical advice, legal clarity, and a supportive space to ask questions.

What to expect: A walkthrough of the application criteria and how to decide if an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) is right for your child.
Prep: Please review the EHCP information link prior to the session.

For families who have received a draft plan and need guidance on the next steps.
What to expect: Expert tips on how to review the draft and ensure your child’s needs are accurately reflected.
Prep: Have your draft plan to hand (or on a second screen) to make notes.

Information for children unable to attend school due to illness, exclusion, or other circumstances.
What to expect: A look at Section 19 of the Education Act. Learn what constitutes "suitable education" and gain practical advocacy tips to protect your child’s rights.
Dates: Tuesday 10th March: 10:00 – 11:00
Thursday 9th April: 16:00 – 17:00
Specifically for children transitioning to a new phase of education this September (e.g., Year 6 to Secondary).
What to expect: A guide to timelines, the transition process, and your rights if you disagree with the named school setting.
