Fancy pedalling your way through the Netherlands with a fantastic group of St Stephen’s parents? Our 4th international Bike Ride promises fun, fitness, and a whole lot of camaraderie and we’d love for you to join us!
This isn’t just a ride; it’s a chance to make a real difference. Last year's ride raised £33,992. Every mile we cycle raises vital funds for FOSS, enhancing the experiences and opportunities for our children here at St Stephen’s, as well as supporting carefully chosen charities connected to our school community. Last year, thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate £15,000 of our funraising total to our chosen charities.
Moormead Pavilion Project said: “We are proud to have been one of your chosen charities.”
3rd December 2024 – Gaz from the Moormead Pavillion Project thanks us for our 2025 contribution to their continued campaign!
Purple Elephant Project said: “Honestly, the parents are amazing… we are so incredibly grateful to FOSS and all the parents for supporting us in this way. Being such a small charity with such a huge demand for our services, this funding will make a huge difference to so many local children and families.”
PLUS, this ride is a brilliant way to meet fellow parents, share stories, and enjoy a sense of adventure together!
If you’re thinking about joining our ride this year, please come along to Briefing & first practice ride in January 2026 (details to follow) and get ready to make 2026’s Tour of the Netherlands one to remember. Pedalling together for purpose, be part of something amazing!
We are a newly formed committee and would love to have more input from parents throughout all year groups, you don’t need to commit to huge chunks of time, we will happily work with you to find out what it possible, or if you have an event you’d like to bring to the calendar please get in touch and let us know.
What you can do to help
With a few people stepping back we are eager fill those positions to make sure we’re going to be able to continue supporting our school so please chat to us in the playground or contact us via your rep or email foss@ststephensTW1.onmicrosoft.com
We are specifically looking for:
A cake sale team: 1 hour per week - this group will work together taking it in turns to support the cake sales, ensuring reps have all the information they need to deliver their sale and comply with a food policy and safeguarding rules of the school. Usually this means a few messages to class reps within the week and being able to support set up from about 2:50/3pm on a Friday.
A Bake Off team: we are sad to say that without a team to help deliver this event we will be unable to run it this year, if you have a passion for this event - or your child will miss it if it goes - please consider taking it on. We think a team of three could cover this event with our committee support and volunteers on the day.
Silent Disco Support team: this popular event is being run for the last time by the current team who have made it such a success over the year so we’d love to boost the leads this year with a few others who can take over (with FOSS support) next year.
Uniform Shop we are looking for volunteers to help on a regular basis - ideally committing to one sale per month, this means setting up from about 2:45, running the sale along with other volunteers and then packing down after. If you would like to join us please use the button above to join the whatsapp group.
A Summer BBQ team: to help us pull together this fun end of year event - this team will design the event, prep the stalls, liaise with the Turk’s Head and work with other members of the FOSS team to ensure we have the right licensing and risk assessments in place.
If you’d like to volunteer at events, join our FOSS events and volunteer whatsapp community, where you can join volunteer groups for any of the events you are interested in helping.
