Planning, drafting, correcting and, finally, publishing! The children in Turing class are on the last leg with their river stories and all the preparation work has been worth it. This step-by-step process allows our children to hone their work and uplevel as they go along. In this way, they are proud to produce their best writing.
Recently, we took a quick peek into some Year Five and Year Three maths lessons. Reading charts and graphs and extracting the data was the topic with the older year group, while finding lots of ways to make one hundred was on the agenda in Year Three. As you can see concentration levels were high.
A recent trip to Bockett's farm gave our Year One children a chance to get up close and personal with animals. Their current topic is about classifying and describing animals. They have been looking at which have feathers, hair, legs, lay eggs, as well as working out which are mammals or birds. They are becoming scientific experts on classification.
