We are pleased to share the following guide from The UK Sepsis Trust, a vital resource designed to help our school community recognise the early warning signs of sepsis and understand when to seek urgent medical attention.
Our Quiet Club is a wonderful space for children to enjoy a peaceful break time, and we are currently looking at ways to make this provision even better and would love to refresh our collection of games and activities.
If you are currently clearing out your cupboards, please consider donating any used or unwanted board games, jigsaw puzzles, or activity books that are still in great condition.
To help the children get straight into the fun, we are looking for games that are complete and easy to play independently within a lunchtime session.
Great examples include:
Fun Games that don't take too long to play: Dobble, Uno, Connect 4, or Guess Who.
Traditional Favorites: Snakes and Ladders, Ludo, or Draughts.
Solo Activities: Jigsaw puzzles (around 100 pieces) or "Search and Find" books.
If you have anything suitable, please drop it off at the School Office. Your generosity will go a long way in helping us enhance this calm and creative space for the children!
Dear all,
I am writing to share with you the details of an event that I’m hosting for parents and carers on Monday 11 May in Twickenham related to online safety.
The conversations I’ve had with many of you, as well as with pupils on my school visits, have been incredibly helpful to me as I work on the policy side of the issue as the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Education, Children and Families.
As you will know, the Government consultation on how to best keep children safe online and across social media is now underway. Having canvassed the views of secondary school pupils locally via an online survey, I am now seeking the views of local parents and carers (at both primary and secondary school level). I will then take the feedback from both the pupil survey and parent event to share it as part of my formal response to the Government consultation.
If you feel comfortable/are happy to share this information with parents, please do so. Conversely, if you don’t wish to do this, I completely understand. I will promote the event via my newsletter and other avenues as well. If you would like to share it, the details are:
Date: Monday 11 May
Time: 18:45 – 20:45
Location: Twickenham (venue details provided upon registration)
Registration: Parents and carers can request a place via this form (*note that as space at the venue is limited, places must be booked in advance)
Many thanks either way.
Kind regards,
Munira
