In computing the children of Year Five's Lau class have been the using the Crumble program and a microcontroller to progam a motor and a sparkle.
They had already notched up the accolade of being the Borough's most successful boys football team! So, following this success, they travelled to Dorking, home of Dorking Wanderers FC, for the county finals. In their first game they beat North downs (Dorking's best team) 2-0. In the second game they drew 1-1 with Cheam Park Farm (Sutton's best team) - a match they probably deserved to win. Next up was the third match, where they played St Augustine's (Surrey Heath's best team) winning 4-2. We then lost our first and only game of the day 1-0 to Warren Mead (Reigate & Banstead best team). We then recovered brilliantly to beat Merrow 3-1 (Guildford) and West Byfleet (Woking) 5-1. Despite this we didn't reach the semi finals, losing out by just one point! Our marvellous boys were gutted, but to even get to the county finals is an amazing achievement and to be able to play at such a prestigious venue was something many won't be able to achieve. So much credit goes to the boys for beating so many of the top teams. Well done to Aydin, Oli, Raff, Alex, Freddie, Seb, Peyton and, player of the day, Ali. You have played so well boys. I am very proud of you.
