Some shots of last Saturday's fabulous FOSS Christmas Fair. Top left: Huge thanks to Caroline Ball and Jo Howard for their Herculanean efforts in organising this fantastic event
FOSS CHRISTMAS FAIR 2023
A MASSIVE thank you to all those who helped make this year’s (slightly nippy!) Christmas Fair such a fabulous success! Spotlight on Caroline Ball and Jo Howard who pulled the whole Fair and a bumper Christmas Raffle together for a second year, planning down to the very finest details to ensure smooth running on the day.
As always, the success of these events relies one hundred per cent on the support of our parent/carer community and your volunteering hands. To all the volunteers for the activities hosted by each year group: thank you for manning the football, bouncy castle, lucky dip, hohohole and other Fair classsics, bottle tombola, crafts and more! Oh and ho ho ho to our very own St Stephen’s elves, manning our cosy grotto with a very entertaining Santa.
A special thanks also to our very own Magic Circle Magician, Mark Dubes (Year One dad, www.magicianacademy.co.uk ) who braved the cold to keep dozens of children captivated with his illusions – we hope to see more of him in upcoming events, following many rave reviews!
More thanks to: the set up crew, the bar crew, the token sellers, security, our chef Nicola for baking up a sausage fest, the sausage sellers, the clean up crew, thank you, thank you, thank you!! Thank you to Robin McAlpine for testing out a new way to tap into Corporate Match Funding through sausages (!) <watch this space for more feedback on corporate match funding and simple ways you can potentially double our income with your time>.
The bountiful RAFFLE raised an unbeliable £2,269 (of which 25% is pledged to support Children In Need). Thank you to all those businesses that supported by donating generous prizes. And thank you for buying your raffle tickets – all lucky winners will be contacted.
Our sponsors, Hamptons – thank you for choosing St Stephen’s as your beneficiaries and continued generous sponsorship. Mathnasium and Digby for your support in donations.
Thank you to all the stall holders, offering a fabulous and varied range of gifts to purchase for our loved ones: @SewMeByJen; @by_valentina; @ettaburtonjewellery; @amywhitakercrafts; @banuartlondon; @heka_aromatherapy; @ebbandflowuk; @funanimalart; @inspiredwands; @ebbandflowuk; Bb love; Jewelist London ; Dainty Chains; Marija Trajkov; Kelly Taylor; Alex Kimber; (and last but definitely not least) Swaylee!
Thank you to Mrs Dale and Mrs Blomley for representing our wonderful teachers and joining in the fun😊
We cannot reiterate enough how warm and fuzzy all your support makes FOSS feel. These Fundraising efforts continue to not only raise all-important funds to support our children’s education, but also to bring our community together. All of this is only ever possible with your generous time and commitment to making our community what it is. Did you miss out this year? Don’t worry, Caroline and Jo will be back for Christmas Fair 2024. And in the meantime, please do get involved as and where you can with any of our FOSS events – we need you and you are very welcome!
Love from the FOSS Team xx

The FOSS Friday cake sale takes place every week in the playground after school. Last year it raised a staggering £5,700 for the school. Many thanks to everyone who donated and bought cakes.
As a reminder - in order to keep our whole school community safe we always ask that homemade or shop bought cakes do not contain nuts, coconut or sesame. Many shop bought cakes will say 'may contain nuts' and, given people bake in their homes, we can never guarantee the sale is completely 'nut free,' as traces may exist. Any cake bought at the sale is under parental supervision, not school supervision. Parents who give their children money to visit the sale are accepting parental responsibility (especially for Yr5 and Yr6 children whose parents may not be present at pick up). Children going to Stars on a Friday afternoon do not visit the cake sale, instead a cake is provided directly by Stars to children who would like to visit. Thank you in advance to everyone over this school year that will bake, buy and help make our cake sales succesful and safe.
Many thanks
The Cake Sale Team
