Check out these fabulous pictures of our green clad children, who all donned a greenish hue in support of 'Wear IT Green Day' for mental health awarness. Here's what some of our Thunberg children said about the day:
'Wear it Green Day is important to raise awareness of your mental health' - Josie
'It is important to have a Wear it Green day so we can show our differences' - Andrea
'Wear it Green Day is vital so that we think about mental health and how we can care for our mental health.' - Olivia
Some Tudor dancing with our costumed guides took Year One right back to the reign of Henry VIII during a recent trip to Hampton Court. So different from today's dancing, but the perfect way to warm up before a tour of the palace. Year One were shown around the magnificent grounds and got to check out the kitchens where Henry's lavish suppers were cooked. Although their picnic lunches were a mite simpler, eating them in such sumptuous surroundings was a treat. The Year One staff team were very impressed by the behaviour of the children who moved about the palace quietly and respectfully, many adopting the demeanour of a Tudor courtier. Well done Year One.
We caught up with Miss Downes to find out what Thunberg has been doing in PE and PSHE this half term. "We have been super duper lucky to have coach Jamie from Brentford Football Club working with us in PSHE, as well as PE. Over the half term, we have explored the eatwell guide (which tells us how much we should eat of each food group on a daily basis), the importance of having a balanced diet, hydration and the value of regular physical activity."
