Mike Pope from the Dwarf Sports Association UK will be joining us to lead the assembly. To mark the day, our children are all invited to come along in their favourite sports outfits or school PE kits. If you would like to help fundraise to support Dwarfism Awareness Day, you can click on this link and donate https://www.dsauk.org/donations/ . Mia in Year Three is a member of this fantastic organisation and has won medals and competitions for her swimming and running. "I go swimming once a week and I started when I was five. I absolutely love it and have even got to meet Ellie Simmonds, the Olympic swimmer," she told us.
CALLING ALL YEAR 6 PARENTS
Do you want to learn more about how we teach maths to your children? Look no further!
Next week, on Wednesday 22nd January at 4.45pm, Mrs Brown and Miss Downes will be holding an online workshop to go through all of the essential skills and strategies for your child to thrive with arithmetic. Make sure to keep an eye on your emails for the link to the session.
Please can we ask all dog owners to move their pets away from the school gates at drop off and pick up, preferably to the opposite side of the road. A number of our children and parents are anxious around dogs and loud noise, so the increasing number of pets around our gate area is causing distress. Thank you so much for your co-operation with this.
The girls were back in action, aiming to keep their 100% record in the league, with Marshgate the next opponent. The game started slowly but after hitting the post twice, the girls unfortunately fell behind against the run of play with the striker leaving no chance for Isla in goal. This was the spark the girls needed to score three goals with no reply to take the lead. The opposition scored another goal but finishes by Florence, to get her hat trick, and a debut goal for Violet made the result certain. A 5-2 win and a 100% record still intact. Goals were scored by Florence x3, Isla and Violet. Well done to Emi, Florence, Isla, Alana, Sassy, Niamh, Violet, Miriam.
The boys secured the top spot in the league with a 6-2 win against the Vineyard School. Despite playing on a very rough pitch, the conditions did not deter our valiant boys. They delivered an outstanding second half performance, with goals from Raff, Freddie, Alex and a hat trick from Seb. Champions, one and all! Well done Aydin, Alex, Peyton, Ali, Oli, Freddie, Seb and, man of the match, Raff.

Choir practice takes place with our wonderful music teacher, Jane Lindenberg, on Mondays, 3.30 - 4.30pm. If you would like to join, please see this week's letters home and you can book via ParentPay.
