If you don't know your semi colons from your colons, please check in with one of the grammaticians in Year Six's Kamkwamba class. Here you see them writing up some semi-colonned sentences in a literacy lesson.Â
In our church assembly, Lauren, the children's pastor from St Stephen's Church, brought a present in for the children to open. When opened, it revealed the word 'Jesus.' She reminded us that for Christians, at Christmas, God gave Jesus to the world, the most important present of all.
To say competing in our first ever dodgeball competition was eventful does not really do the day justice. As the tournament progressed we got stronger and stronger and our team play gathered momentum. In order to progress we knew we had to finish in the top two to make it through to the semi-final stage and, after six enthralling matches, we made it! We won with probably our best overall play of the day. In the final it went down to the last game, with both teams winning two games apiece. However, with the last throw as the decider, our opponents hit one of our team to ensure 2-1 players left after the timer. With all things considered I couldn't be prouder of those involved. They showed some remarkable resilience, determination and bravery from start to finish, only losing to the eventual competition winners. A great sporting day. Well done team!
