Children in year 3 learn how to play the Ukulele throughout the year. They look at the chords C, F and Am at the beginning and first become comfortable moving between the different chords.
They then move this skill along with different strumming patterns as well as singing and playing at the same time.
In Year 4, the children have been learning to play the recorder. They have learnt notes G, A, B, C and are able to read music, using conventional notation. We first start with the correct hand position.
Children then move on to reading each note on the staff, starting with warm-ups for fluent finger movement between the notes.
