At St Helen's we provide children with opportunities to put their knowledge to the test in our fun maths events and trips. All trips aim to teach children how to solve real world mathematical problems while also improving their fluency.
In Early Years children are able to go on trips to bakeries and supermarkets. While at the shops children count how many fruits and vegetables to buy and at the end the best part is going back to school to eat all their yummy food !
In Key Stage 1, children have an opportunity to go on a trip to West Ham Park. Children in Year 2 learnt about measurement and were able to apply all their skills at the park.
