Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description:
The Production Technician is responsible for assembling high-voltage cable assemblies and connector components according to approved drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role ensures products are built safely, accurately, and on schedule, supporting Caton’s commitment to precision, reliability, and world-class customer satisfaction. Pay starts at $21/hour, advancement to higher technician levels and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of cable assemblies, connectors, and sub-assemblies.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, BOMs, and process documentation.
Follow standardized work, build travelers, and inspection checkpoints with discipline.
Use hand tools, crimping tools, torque drivers, testers, molding equipment, and measurement devices.
Perform in-process checks to verify workmanship, dimensions, and documentation accuracy.
Escalate build issues, drawing discrepancies, or quality concerns promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all ESD, safety, and handling requirements.
Support continuous improvement by identifying waste, proposing improvements, and following lean practices.
Complete daily production reporting and ensure accurate traceability for AS9100-controlled builds.'
