SkillsUSA National Signing Day
May 22, 2024 - Last week, we celebrated SkillsUSA National Signing Day! This event is meant to shine a much-needed spotlight on students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. We were joined by co-op employers and students who have been offered employment after graduation.
80% of our senior class participated in co-op this school year. Collectively, they've worked more than 52,000 hours and earned over $900,000. Thank you for being a shining representative of South Shore Tech within our communities. Congratulations!
Our co-op program has seen tremendous growth over the past few years and we’re excited about these new opportunities for our students. We are thankful for our employer partners who have been with us year after year, truly making their place of business an extension of the classroom. Our employers become part of our school community; they teach and support our students, they are alumni business owners, advisory board members, parents, and community members. Our co-op employers directly contribute to our student’s success in life after South Shore Tech and Signing Day is a great example of that. Thank you for another great year!

Congratulations to our Co-op Juniors & Seniors! This year, our 163 co-op students worked nearly 58,000 hours and earned $972,017. Thank you to our Co-op Employers for providing this opportunity to our students. We look forward to working with you next school year!

Skills USA National Signing Day
We recently celebrated SkillsUSA National Signing Day as a way to shine a much-needed spotlight on students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. Students whose co-op employers indicated that they have been offered full-time employment after graduation joined us for a reception and certificate ceremony where they signed letters of intent.
We'd also like to thank our employer partners for their participation in our program and for taking time out of their busy day to help us celebrate our students. Your support is crucial to our school's mission and our student's futures. Congrats!
