Job Description: Candy Cooks will perform basic preparatory tasks including workstation set up, large scale measurements and ingredient preparations, kitchen maintenance and cleaning and overall adherence to standard food safety requirements. Once fully trained, will also work on candy production independently as well in a team setting.
Skills, Competencies and Abilities:
Ability to perform large volume cooking and experience with industrial cooking equipment is preferred.
Physically able to stand for a duration of shift and lift heavy materials (50+ pounds).
Possess strong time management skills.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must possess a positive, can-do attitude and take pride in your work.
Education and Experience:
Previous training in confection, bakery or pastry is preferred but not required.
ServSafe and Allergen Awareness certification is also a plus but not required.
While this is a full-time position, training will begin as part time.
