Homework

Homework

At this time there is no written homework.

Kindergarten

I will be following the schedule Mrs. Mirabile uses for homework. There will usually be a worksheet for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. This worksheet will support one of the skills we are working on in class. Wednesday will be penmanship homework. Please encourage your child to do their best when completing the work.

It is important to make flashcards for the sight words listed on the Curriculum page of this website and review these words frequently.

The stories we are working with each week may be found at your local library and often as a Read Aloud on the internet. It will be helpful to your child if you reread the story at home and ask some questions about the story.

Grade 1

Monday thru Thursday the children will be given a worksheet that supports the skills we are working on in class. They should also be making flashcards for the sight words listed on the Curriculum page of this website and reviewing these several times during the week.

Grade 2

Monday thru Wednesday the children will have a worksheet that supports the skills we are working on in class. The homework is expected to be completed the night it is given and should show their best effort. On Thursday the children should review the story we read for the week and the skills on the charts in the Reference Book for a check up on Friday.
