*When studying, it helps to have your child say the word in a sentence to show their understanding of the words. When studying make sure your child also knows how to read the word and the meaning of each one.

1. Shovels - a tool with a long handle and flattened scoop. Garden tool
2. blooming - to blossom or grow into a flower.
3. scent - a special smell that comes from something
4. nodded - to move the head down and up in quick motion, that may mean "okay".
5. wrinkled - to form small uneven lines or creases.
6. plain - not fancy or pretty.
7. muscles - body tissue that helps many different parts of the body move and work.
