IEEE Madras Section is an association of technical professionals in Tamil Nadu who has volunteered themselves in providing technology enhancement in engineering disciplines in the locality through the conference, events, technical activities. Historically, the activities of the IEEE Madras Section started in 1973 as the Tamil Nadu Sub-section of the Bangalore Section. The Sub-section attained Section status on 28th April 1978. IEEE Madras Section Silver Jubilee Year (1978-2003), was celebrated in a grand manner, honoring the members of 25 years' standing and invited all members to share their information & knowledge on our Section's history.
