The IEEE Madras Section sponsored 5-day Faculty Development Program on AI for the Modern Engineer (AIME): Fundamentals, Applications, and Future Trends will provide faculty/ research scholars with a comprehensive understanding of advanced AI, machine learning, and smart system technologies that are shaping modern research and industry practices. This FDP covers diverse areas—from trustworthy AI governance to deep learning for healthcare, robotics, smart manufacturing, and energy systems—the program aims to equip faculty/ research scholars with the knowledge needed to integrate emerging concepts into their teaching, curriculum design, and project guidance.
Through exposure to cutting-edge tools, frameworks, and real-world applications, participants can enhance their research capabilities, identify interdisciplinary collaborations, and mentor students in frontier domains. The sessions will strengthen both conceptual depth and practical insight, enabling faculty members to remain industry-aligned, innovation-oriented, and better prepared to contribute to future technological advancements.
The FDP will include invited lectures and demonstrations from industries and academia covering the recent trends as listed below:
