This is the base rubric I use to grade your written work. It is the same rubric in general that the English Department uses and I have adopted it to maintain consistency. I often modify it to meet the needs of a particular assignment but the main criteria remain the same. Please refer to this before any written assignment to get a better sense of what is required for the best grade possible.
