HOMEWORK / MAKE-UP POLICY

Assignments and due dates for this class are maintained on the whiteboard in class, on PowerSchool and Google Classroom.  All handouts/papers are located on Google Class or rack by student supply center in room.

Some, not all, homework reminders are sent via Remind text services.  You are strongly encouraged to use this free service; however, it is ultimately the student's responsibility to record and remember assignments.

 Please note that work is to be completed on time and will be given a check on PowerSchool.

Homework grades are determined by quizzes on the homework assignments.

• Makeup tests must be completed by an assigned date. If student is absent only on test date, makeup test must be taken on date of return.

• Students absent on project due dates must submit their project on the day they return.

GRADING POLICY

• Students will be assessed using a variety of methods including discussions, quizzes, essays, tests, and projects.  

• Written assignments are graded based on the BHS English department essay rubric to maintain consistency. 

• Homework will be graded according to the policy described above.
