March 20: End of 3rd Quarter
Week of March 23: College and Career Week
April 2: House Day
April 3-12: Spring Break
I hope you are all enjoying the break in the weather. This past weekend was beautiful.
This week we are beginning our Light and Sound unit in Reading. We use this unit as a test preparation unit for the upcoming Ohio State test in April! It will help us feel confident about that test.
There won't be a spelling test for the next two weeks. We will pick up again on March 23.
In math, we will look at more multiplication, including area and arrays. We will also practice turning multiplication into division, and firm up our division facts.
Thank you for making sure your child does their homework each night! Remember, they should be reading for 20 minutes, practicing their math facts, and they also have a weekly worksheet to complete. Doing these things helps enforce what we are learning at school, and teaches a bit of responsibility.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out anytime. The best ways to contact me are through the Remind App or email me at kblakeslee@sheffieldschools.org.
