Medium: Tie & Dye and Screen Printing
Tie and Dye is an easy way to include a variety of colorful designs and vibrant styles to your wardrobe. The theme that I had in mind while I was dying the saree was CODED EMOTIONS as we know each color depicts emotion. I tried to express the emotions a woman might experience iin her life through colors.
RED- love, anger, danger. Black - Tough times, pain. YELLOW- hope.
"Tie and dye" is the process of creating patterns on clothes or fabrics. It is dying natural fabrics that results in interesting and colorful patterns.
Screen printing is something I learned in school. I drew a design on the stencil and blocked the negative space with a binder. Placing the screen on the cloth I poured paint, lifted up the screen immediately to create the stunning visuals.
